- the great Russian composer was born in a settlement at Kamsko-Vyatskiy metallurgy plant of Vyatsky region. His father was an engineer and was appointed as the plant director.
In 1859 Chaikovsky graduated from legal college in St. Petersburg. Worked in Ministry of Law.
In 1891 he entered Music Faculty of Russian Musical Society and started to compose music.
His first works were overture for Thunderstorm play, and cantata To Joy.
His world-wide famous works are Romeo and Juliet fantasy, Swan Lake, Nut Cracker, and Sleeping Beauty ballets, First Concert for piano with orchestra, Evgeny Onegin, Queen of Spades operas, Sixth Symphony.
